Today I created my paypal a/c. But I still hesitate to give my bank a/c details like a/c no. and cvv no there.
I dont know how safe it is as I never dealt in international trade and transactions. So asking you guys about the experience there.

I need to order a small item from ebay...not more than 2.5k value. If anybody willing to help me by ordering it via their paypal a/c it will be vey much appreciated. Ofcourse I will transfer the full amount to your a/c before moving further. :)

So please let me know.

How to create a Paypal account? Is PAN card a must? It says so in the registration page, so I backed out.

I don't have a PAN card, so if that's the case, then how to get a PAN card?

You can apply for PAN online at https://www.tin-nsdl.com/ , you can also fill up the offline form and submit it to IT office (I went this way, but that was quite a few years back).
It is always better to get the PAN card, nowadays govt.. has started mandating quoting the PAN for a range of financial transactions.

I think you need to skip the representative assessee part, that is only applicable if you are applying PAN on behalf of some other person.
https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pan2/servlet/NewPanApp says
(Representative Assessee details to be filled only in special cases like minor, lunatic, idiot, etc., as provided u/s 160 of Income-tax Act, 1961)

Paypal is one of the most secure payment method exists online. So without any hesitation go for it.

I don't think anyone faced any fraudulent problem with Paypal Transaction.

Paypal is good for transactions, but the problem is that they can freeze your account for a silly reason without following due procedure that most banks have to adhere to. They function as a bank, but without following the rules and regulations of one. One of the reasons why Indian govt. and many other governments too became strict with them.

Use it for transactions, but never store your money with them.

@theoracle Should I get the copy of my documents attested from a gazetted officer?

You cant store money with them. As per RBI guidelines all money in your PayPal account will be transferred to your bank a/c at the end of each day.
