I have a paypal account and ICICI debit card. I would like to know if I can use this card for making purchases using paypal. Does ICICI charge any fee for payments made to paypal?

Yes, you can add icici card to your paypal.

No there are no specific different charges. every paypal transaction will be just like any other purchase on credit card.
 
are you on normal account or premier account of paypal. eg i am on business account and i am charged @ 3.14% per incoming transaction. although its free for normal members at paypal.
 
You can use a debit card if it's a VISA or Master, otherwise you can't. However, I'm not aware of a single debit card in India that has a VISA or Master logo on it (Maestro doesn't count).

Secondly, you will not be charged for making payments from your paypal account - you will have transaction fees only when you withdraw money from paypal.
 
The ICICI debit card has VISA logo in front and also the 3 digit pin on the back. I am on normal account with no balance. I am mainly Thinking to Purchase godaddy account with the paypal and ICICI.
 
i had tried adding my ICICI debit card to paypal sometime back ..but it did not work for me ..and i have the same card like yours ... anyways do lemme know if it works for u.
 
Archish, I'm assuming that's a VISA Electron logo... if yes, it will not work and it explains why it didn't work for Mohit earlier.
 
oops i didnt read it was debit card, you need credit card.

And incoming transction has small fee even for std user afaik.
 
I will not recommend using any debit card for internet transaction or for paypal or debit. I am not saying that it is not safe but you still avoid.
 
papa did it with his local debit/credit card and the account was created.
incoming is free in basic account but premier account charges a small fess. upgradation to premier costs about 1$ I think.
 
your limited to 100$ transactions per month, unless, you pay a 2$ deposit, which you get back, after you acknowledge, that it is your credit card, by putting a no. you get on the CC Bill, into the Paypal confirmation :P.

Anyways, Debit cards cant be used... Ive tried...

I use my ICICI Credit Card.. Well my Dads, and also, his SC card on it..

Indian banking regulations do not allow the use of debit cards for internet transactions. Indeed, it cannot even be used for certain modes of payments at hotels etc. Be thankful that consumer retail banking laws are strict here, otherwise there would be a whole lot more fraud/identity theft than there already is considering the lax implementation of laws around here.
