PC Connection On Braodband

I am starting this thread as i need suggestion as to how to connect two PC's through broadband connection. both the PC's have a fixed IP. kindly post Your suggestion.

hi, first of all i want to know that du u hav a lan broadband conn. or a router one. If u hav a lan broadband connection than its very easy to connect.

download a software (angry ip scanner) its a freeware appn. (just type in google and u will get it) . Now go to control panel->network connnections->local area connection->properties->internet protocol(tcp/ip). now in the ip address field type 1.1.1.2 & subnet mask 255.255.255.0 (keep the below 3 fields empty)and in the other pc follow the same steps & in the ip field type 1.1.1.4 & subnet mask 255.255.255.0.

now scan from angry ip from any of the pc and u r done. see to it that both pc hard drive are in sharing mode.

If you have router cum modem just a get a switch and connect the router and pcs to the switch.
