Graphic Cards PC hanging while playing games

Hey guys,
I have an Xfx 9800 GT 512 (Green edition).I overclocked it to 605Mhz (From 550 Mhz) but later restored it to default clock speed.
But now whenever i play any game the PC either hangs completely or hangs for a few seconds and then resumes the normal play..
Does that mean i have damaged the card?
My config is:
Intel i5 750
Intel P55WB Mobo
2 GB DDR 3
CoolerMaster 500W(ElitePower I guess)

1. Update to latest Forceware.

2. Remove all GPU and system OC.

3. Defrag your drives.

Try, and let us know.
 
Check your Taskmanger for all the processes running.Check which task is taking major CPU usage.

And also i would suggest you to increase your RAM

Make it 2x2 ie 4gb
 
Thanks asingh :),The problem seems to have vanished in other games except for fifa 09 and 07 :S..

@rocky_pratik: dude I use my PC for audio recording and the tools like nuendo, cubase have not yet been released for 64 bit PC's..so i have to stick with just 2 GB unless the new versions come..

and about the CPU being overloaded,Dude its i5!..and COD 5 seems to run seamlessly on it..the problem now is just limited to Fifa..
