Guys,
I have an ASUS A8NVM mobo with integrated 6100 graphics from Nvidea. Now yesterday I bought Big 7300GT for my rig, but problem is that my OS is not recognizing the card. I have installed drivers properly but if I restart my PC with my VGA plugged in oth the 7300GT, I get a blank screen (doesnt detect connection). Than I went to BIOS and disabled onboard VGA and put VGA preferences to PCIE.... now the whole screen goes blank. Have to reset BIOS jumper and shift back to onboard card. Once or twice I have got signal from the PCIE card during boot up but it throws out junk characters... Guys, what am I missing? How to disable the onboard VGA and how to get this card recognized. Its not even showing in my device manager.... it should be visible in the device manager even without the driver right? Also I have reset the card many times still no luck..... Is there a setting in BIOS thats disabling my PCIE detection? Guys Help, you can imagine how pathetic I feel after spending so much money and hardware not working.
Regards,

:) :) It reminds me if you are getting junk characters then the card might be defective. If possible try with another graphics card from ur friends. Also check if you have done all the connections properly..

Are there any L.E.D's on the card that tell you if its on or if its fan draws power from the card and not a separate connector, is it spinning? Are any transistors bent?
