Need to gift my dad a phone so he can skype with others. He just takes pics , talks a lot on phone and need a simple phone not too flashy .
And yes he has started playing Angry birds so he needs an android which can support video calling

For Skype, front cam would be a requirement. Please check before buying if the device officially supports Skype.

If dealer warranty is fine, get the xperia ray for 13k or xperia neo v for 14k.

Do check Motorola fire XT approx 10k , it does have front cam, but not sure about Skype support.

Edit: if voice chat is the only requirement, HTC explorer is a better option for 8k, or a Motorola defy for 14k

Chacha wont be good for playing games and its camera is just okay.. Have a look at Xperia MiniPro..

And if you are okay with dealer warranty (Not from Sony but from the dealer you buy) in Ebay, I would recommend SE Xperia Pro (Not Mini Pro).. It is available around 13.5 in Ebay and you can get it for less if you have coupons.. It is way better than anything you can get at that price point.. But again, you have to rely on dealer warranty.. If you buy from a power seller like this with 100 percent positive feedback, it shouldn't be a problem though..

i guess Sony looks good but knowing my dad he wont like the side slider as he isnt tech savvy and wants just decent functionality .... i am just concerened for battery life n video calling on HTC chacha ....
