Hi guys

I have a 14" dell studio which is good for mobility but it really sucks at watching movies and gaming stuff. So, I am planning to get an external monitor with a budget of upto 11K and i am also planning to get a separate gaming rig and an airtel HD set-top box in a few months. I've gone through several threads that suggested Benq G2220HD as good movies/gaming option but it lacks a hdmi input .So, I need a monitor with hdmi input though it is not compulsory if display quality & price are compelling enough ( there's always hdmi-dvi cable ). Please suggest a good monitor that stays current for atleast 2 years. Thanks and

here's the template.

^^ Dell ST2220L ~ 8500/- [22" full HD monitor with HDMI-out, LED back-light] OR

BenQ G2420HD ~ 11900/- [24" full HD monitor with HDMI-out and LED back-light] OR

Dell U2311H ~ 14500/- [23" full HD IPS monitor (better view angles and color reproduction), with HDMI-out and LED back-light].

For more on panels [TN and IPS], here are a few links -- http://www.pchardwar...panel-types.php / http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPS_panel / http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TFT_LCD.

Be warned though Sire, that the IPS panel has longer response times [8ms compared to standard 2ms of TN panels], hence can be bad screens while gaming due to ghosting effect.

Hope this helps, Sire, Cheers!!
