I was thinking of dropping the Gfx card & buying a SSD instead ,which SSD should i buy ,and do we get a slim tower cabinet ,current one's are too bulky

Go with
Samsung 850 Evo 250GB SSD -7000.

Slim cabinets are not recomended as a processor needs air flow inside the cabinet.
Also mini ATX cabinets require mini ATX motherboards which are costly

If you want to go with Micro ATX cabinet then go with Cooler Master N200 mATX cabinet @ 3k
