I received my XPS 1530 today. They are pretty crooks these Dell people :D. They mention on their website that the duty is 12% but I was charged at 10.3%, which came as a money rebate on negotiation only. Dunno whats the funda with that.
Anyway, all that done..Are you not supposed to open your systems before installation? Darn, it got delivered on friday..friday till monday no installation. I am so eager to open it up. But people suggest that you should't open pre installation. Is there anything official regarding this? or just overcautious indianness
 
my friend opened it long bfore the "engineer" came..gave him some sweets and tea and he was all smiles.
 
well..i called up dell and they said u aren't supposed to open it before installation. how many guys does the installation guy take to show up? cos i tried calling installation services all day today and got no response.
 
"supposed to" is just silly :P

so long as ur remotely technically inclined (which is why ur prob on this forum in the first place :P )...just go ahead n open it ;) have fun :) i doubt they ll make a big noise over it.
