I am staring this thread so that we can come to know of different plans provided by different operators \
Please post the details of your current plan i.e tarrif for local, STD,SMS, ISD, GPRS and MMS .
Also mention if you have any Pack for Local,STD, SMS, GPRS , Intercalling, Group palns, Rate cutters, Daily plans, promotional plans, etc.
And most important please mention how is their network and do they deduct any balance without any reason
Ps : mention your region/ circle as plans may vary from circle to circle
 
Here i go:

1.loop mobile

Plan : one to one

Details one loop mobile no free to talk for a minute.

Other nos in loop 20p/min.

Other network 60p/min.

Std 1 re/min.

Plan hold only for mumbai. Outside of mumbai network shifts to idea.

Dont know the plans on roaming.

When i bought the card 2008 had free wap unlimited which was discontinued by sep 09 .

network strength not consistent. but no hidden costs.

also sometimes with time i get offers E-recharge with 10Rs and get 20Rs. did about 5-10 simultaneous recharges that time. :p

2. Reliance gsm

Took it on initial launch when they were giving free talktime. 10 minutes per day for 3 months.

Then switched to 50p/min plan.

recharge of 11Rs/month and SMS cost of 1p per message or Rs.25/month recharge for unlimited SMSs.

Overall good network strength than loop. Also plans are good if you go out of mumbai in the state.

Good speeds for wap average upto 30KB/sec.

network strength weak in underground basements.

Currently using Reliance for Data and loop for voice. :)
 
I am on loop mobile too

Pay per sec. plan

1p/sec for all local and std mobile but std landline 2p/se

Sms @ 50p and wap browsing @10/10kb

But their offers are great :

On Friday Buy 1 get one ticket free to any Cinemax and sterling cinema and also essel world and water kingdom

Also Unlimited mobile internet @89 per month (no Fup till now)

Loop Mobile - Prepaid

Some Sms packs not mentioned in above links are

Get 110 and 210 sms @ RS 11 and RS 21 respectively

Get daily 50 and 150 Sms @ Rs 27 and Rs 44 respectively

They send SMS for great offers sometimes like

I had got for full TT on E recharge of Rs 15 so I had recharged 15 *4 to get 60 Rs full TT

Also best was get 125 (7500) loop and 125 (7500) other local secs for RS 125 every month for three months @ just Rs 125 (in all for three months)

Network coverage is good but sometimes in local trains you may face problems

No balance deduction without any reason

mine was the promotional offer they had introduced when the were distributing special vouchers at every college when no one was buying their cards.

then the sudden urge for friends of my college to buy loop(then BPL) to get their cards.

latest scheme i know is Dus ka Gang next gen got it activated for my mom.

10 loop nos 10p/min

other loop nos 30p/min.

other networks 50p/min

night 11pm-8 am 2GB free internet through WAP.

The free internet and T2T local calls came as a promo offer for a recharge of Rs 94 for a year.
Network is improving every month but still needs better coverage in many areas.

All i am interested is to know about the one plus one ticket at cinemax,esselworld etc. i want to know about that only.

1) Idea postpaid 199 plan (corporate plan), maharashtra goa circle

tariff 199 (to be reduced to 180)

200 local calls (mobile, landline) free

beyond that, local calls 0.30, std 0.60.

200 sms free, local/national (optional rental pack of Rs. 30 for 200 addl. sms available)

beyond that, sms 0.30 (local, national) and 5.00 (international).

gprs plans suck. i think its 2p/kb for zero rental or theres a rental of Rs. 199 for 512 kb.

undoubtedly, best coverage in maharashtra goa. tried airtel, vodafone et al, nothing beats idea here. however idea roaming sucks in bangalore, bombay, delhi, calcutta.

2) tata docomo prepaid (basically for gprs)

same as arun mentioned in post #10. (copy paste from him in italics)



1p/sec local and STD ******* (can be reduced to 1p/2sec with 49 monthly voucher)

Sms - 60p for local and Rs 1.2 for STD ******* (he missed out on the good part - only first 3 local sms charged per day. next 100 free. 1p sms pack --> daily/weekly - Rs.2/Rs.10)

tata docomo ISD - per second billing, and unlike idea ISD, doesnt start billing the moment number is dialled. billing meter only starts after call is picked up at other end.

tata docomo kinda sucks in maharashtra (but getting better all the time). but its good in bombay, and its non-roaming for us maha users there. i'm forced to shift to it once in bombay travels since idea roaming usually goes kaput. always found docomo signal quality good there. never received a single spam/unwanted sms, very ethical company and even got some award shaward for this. rightly so!!

3) reliance GSM prepaid

had this before i got docomo. nowadays its shared by family members.

0.50 all calls, 0.50 sms. too many unwanted smses even after applying for DND.

great network wherever i went (except calcutta) - but once in a while, charging from internet dont work out - just a few days back i refilled Rs. 55 from the reliance site - money left bank, never came to prepaid balance. that sort of thing happened a couple of times. best to buy recharge vouchers from pan shops for reliance gsm.

Network Connectivity - Good almost everywhere, even on Mumbai-Pune expressway. GPRS Connectivity very bad in my home but better if i am on road near the tower.
