Ok seriously, is there any site which ships high quality posters to India? I know there have been many threads on this subject before but no one seems to have a clue.

And no, allposters does not ship to India. Atleast I cannot see India being listed in the countries column.

Has anyone ever ordered a poster online before? Does anyone have a first hand personal experience with this? :S

@Bluffy - Even i am on the lookout for vintage movie posters, top in my list is Pulp Fiction. The original ones are too damn costly, IIRC, most in 100's of 1000's of $ :O. Will keep an eye on this thread.

i got a few printed small sized for 15 bucks. I checked with Kodak and getting a poster size print will set you back anywhere from 400 to 600 rs. To work with Kodak, you need a good high res photo.

you can use HP's popular printing service to Print those posters.

Hmm seems nice. How much resolution should i use at a minimum for a 20x30" print ? (Just to get an idea about others too).

The only decent size there is the 20x30in one and that too is freaking 900 bucks. You call that reasonable?

And suppose I get it printed, do you know of such a site which provides high-res pictures of Movie, Music, Sports poster etc?

Also as Phoenix said, what should be the resolution to get a 20x30 poster printed?

Allposters.com freaking shbips to Iraq and Afghanistan and not India, how about that? :S Maybe KMD can ship posters to India from Allposters.com?

Don't know about shipping, but Landmark has suddenly sprouted a good poster collection. I have seen even the classic Godfather & Pulp Fiction posters amongst their collection. Also they have a in-store service where you can order books that are not normally available in the country. The database has a serious collection of Poster books [High quality print collection of A3 sizes]

how many are interested?

If we get 20 odd poster orders. I will be able to get it here on cost to cost basis. (I have a shipment coming from states in a week's time and other little later through relative ) So I can get these with that.

Have ordered from Allposters.com few times through relatives. Keep in mind these guys ship in round poster tubes. So that increases volumetric weight of the package. So it wont be cheap at all. ( we can ask kmd for bulk quote )

If you can source ultra high quality images, we can get the posters printed locally.

And BTW Digital Photo Printing, Free Online Photo Albums and Digital Photo Sharing - Snapfish quality of large posters is unacceptable to me. I ordered one large 16x20" poster shot at 12MP resolution and the poster that they printed was horrible in terms of edge smoothness and colours.

Thats a nice offer shripad. I am interested in atleast 4 posters. Now the cost of those 4 posters from allposters.com comes out to be roughly 1500 bucks. Now what will be the shipping charges and any other other additional cost?

I think if you start a GO on this, many people will be interested. Each member will want atleast 3-4 for himself which will push the bulk order to 70-80 posters easily.

Wowie,

I have 3 floyd's posters. Pulse album art, dark side of the moon album art and all the floyd's album art's compilation.

For info, I purchased all the 3 from Landmark@ HYD. in very good price. 250 each,

BTW they have quite decent collection of Posters with'em. Most of them are regular, usual posters, but quite good collection.
