Monitors Power consumption b/w 17" CRT & 22" LCD

My current config is in my sign.
I am planning to sell off my sAMSUNG 17" CRT and buy a 22" LCD monitor.
I am currently using a eMerge 500VA UPS to power the current system.

(1). How much of a power difference would there be between my 17" CRT and a 22" LCD monitor. More or less? And numbers please!

(2). Do I have to change my UPS, as I have to upgrade my video card too?Reason being gaming with an 8600GT at higher resolution would be ...well...difficult.

(3). Does Samsung 2233sw suffer from backlight problems or is it decent?
Is it better than the Benq E2200HD?Any better models? My budget is 10k max.

well i have a Benq E2200 HD & i checked the Power Consumption using APC Powerchute software..
with monitor on total Powerconsumption is 214 watts with off i used PrintScreen to check out & the power consumption was 190 watts so,in my case it's around 24 watts..
