One of my older model laptops suddenly started giving power issues yesterday.
I followed a HP tutorial and removed the battery and tried booting up the laptop using the charger. It doesn't work. I can see the charger port going from white to orange and then blank in quick succession.
Then I tried keeping the battery and the charger plugged in for a long time without turning on the laptop. The charger remains orange for more than an hour before turning white.
I tried running the laptop after couple of hours and it boots up fine. But on the other hand, charger starts to act up again cycling through nothing, orange and white.
So when the battery charge falls below 15%, it goes through low battery and then showing a bit of charge then again warning.
