Graphic Cards Power Query?

Yes, it can handle all three cards but you have to mention your full system specs to get more clear idea..

Corsair VX450 @ 4k is also good PSU at the same price of Tagan 600W..:)

yes. it will definitely support the cards.

but i don't think it will be able to handle the rig mentioned in your sig :p

Thanks for replying. Here are the specs -
AMD X2 5600+, Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H, 4 GB DDR2 (800MHz) Kingston, Seagate SATA 500GB and 16x DVDWriter.

@vrd - :eek:hyeah:

go for corsair VX 450 as the operational temp. of dat tagan model are unknown and also no reviews till yet.........u better go with cooler master real power series, antec or corsair.......

^ Phenom II X3 720 @ 7.6k will do.. You can overclock the 720 to atleast 3.0Ghz on 780G to get maximum from it..:)

Instead of upgrading the CPU and the board I'm thinking of going in for a lower end card > MSI R4850-2D1G-OC or MSI R4870-T2D1G-OC. What say?
Will go in for the Corsair VX450 if its available locally.

^ may i know the size of your display.. You can go with MSI 4850 OC 1G, you can also have a look on Zotac GTS 250 1GB @ 9.5k. Its little better over 4850..:)

Also if your 78GM is lil older please check whether its 90w or 140w

now all Gigabytes are 140w previously they werent.... so if you move on to AMD XII just a thought to bear

However your idea of 4850/4870 is smarter :)

19" SyncMaster 931BW. I'll look into the GTS 250 also...dont know much about Zotac though.

@antz123- How do I find out if its 90/140W?

Go for the 260 216 core and the vx 450, or you can look at the 4870 and the vx 450.. I would say vx450 seems to be the best in that price bracket. If you really want to try out the tagan there is absolutly no harm as they are a good brand also. SO I would say:

GPU:

260, 216 version

4870

PSU:

Tagan 500

Corsair 450

CM real power 450

All the three PSU's are very very good and the CM real power is really good value for money with 80% certified bronze.
