I hope you guys remember Mercury, one of the veteran mother board(and other hardware) manufacturers. I remember using their video card in 2003. I wasn't that convinced about mercury motherboards back then. I have seen few of them in my friends' PCs and they were.. i don't know.. they were neutral i guess. i wasn't educated that much about mobos. so thats all i can say.
I was thinking about buying a tablet for few months. I knew that tablets are not worth our hard earned money. Just wanted to own a tab, so that i could check personal mails, watch movies etc. and may be,
if at all possible, some android development too..(sounds lame? yeah thats right..) At first, I thought about buying a Chinese tablet with resistive screen @ 3500-4000 INR. But after reading few reviews, I decided not to feed my money to a Chinese seller for nothing.
I was looking for something around 8K or less, but as you already know, its hard to find a tab under this budget. I've checked iball, Zync, HCL, Olive Ziio etc.. some of them were running android 2.2, some of them had issues, some of them were out of budget, some of them had low battery issues etc. etc.. I saw few others too, but all those devices were using low power batteries and warranty was just for 6 months, and where can i find a service center? in north Korea? No those tabs werent an option at all.
I was looking for a device with 6000 mah battery (for 5-6 hrs of playback). After some time, i saw 2 listings in ebay, checked specs, and i realized that, this is the best one available in the market under my budget and requirements. This device has got only 4000 mah battery, but I'm happy with this. battery is lasting for 3-4 days, if i don't use it. and i'm getting 3-4 hrs of continuous playback.
Screen is good. Nice response, muti-touch is working fine. Wi-Fi is good. Easy to read and reply mails. Its playing 1080p videos without any issues, but the decoder is not that great. Weight is around 400 gram. yes, it feels heavy. Checked usb and SD card support. Both are working good. Overall, this is a good tablet for the price.
All these tabs(whether its a nexus 2 or HTC Magic) are a waste of money, as you may already know. So, why should we spend more than 10K for a tablet ?!
