Problem in writing disc in Vista

hey friends,

I have been using Vista in my XPS 1530.. But am facing problem in writing disc, i tried almost everything i.e. writing with default writing option, nero, roxio etc.. It always gives error at the i.e. burn process failed. I wasted a lot of disc in the same. Just help me out if someone can.

What disks are you using, I have master disks, one bunch is having full problems, it will write, but will give error while copying, still some empty disks are lying with me. May be try other disks and see.
 
u might as well try with a rewritable for testing purpose.. why waste so many discs lol.. try to reseat the cables of the drive.. update the firmware.. try to attach the drive to some other system and then try writing.
