Problem with WGR614 v6 after firmware upgrade

Hi,

I have a WGR614 v6 WiFi Router which was running fine for last two years or so.

Since last month, it started disabling my WiFi when the Desktop PC(on WIN 7) which is connected through a wired connection to the router was switched off.

As a routine debug measure I upgraded the firmware to the latest (Ver 2.0.19_1.0.19). Did the setup again for my WiFi N/W.

But now all my devices show that my network is available but won't connect and exit saying the "WiFi Network Remembered".

For the first problem "Wifi going off when wired PC is off" I got to know that WIN 7 "Homegroup" might be interfering with the Router setting. Is it correct ?

For the second problem "WiFi Network Remembered", can anyone suggest a solution.

Thanks

Hi,

Any comments from the experts on how to debug this.

I have already tried, factory reset, re-installing the firmware, changing the channel, disabling all security options, but to no avail.

Full signal strength appears for few moments on the WiFi devices which I try to connect to the N/W but they fail to connect and exist saying "Connection Remembered"

Seems like time for a new Router !

Thanks

Would suggest to do a complete reset of the router and try.

Since you have already tried resetting, try to see if the router is operating in a differant mode. Screenshots might help.
