Problem with WRT54G2

Currently I am having MTNL broadband with Linksys WRT54G2 wifi router. Sometimes, my devices stops connecting to the router and the router needs a restart so that my devices could connect. Sometimes, even though my modem is properly connected, and router also connected to the devices but even then access to the internet is not there and again it needs a restart of the router.
Is my router dying or can be a FW issue? :|

What is the current firmware running ? and how old is the router ? G2 is quite old AFAIK.
Reset the router to factory default once.
