Hi All,
I recently purchased a new notebook the HP pavilion 14 n201tx that came preloaded with Windows 8.1 OOB.
I am facing critical issues related to the OS like:
1)I am able to browse the Windows store but whenever I try to download/Install any app I get an error most commonly "800072 efe" or some other error.
2)Whenever I try windows update, Although it shows the no of pending updates it is never able to install or download them. There are many errors thrown up , most common again being 80072efe.
A few details:
I am logged in using an administrator account(tried both a local account and a microsoft account)
connected to internet using wireless, reliable connection, still have tried an alternate internet access also
What I have tried till now( based on what I searched in net)
> Tried formatting and reinstalling a clean version of windows
>tried resetting the windows store
>tried Fixit solution from microsoft
>checked that the date time and language are proper
> reconfigured services esp BITS, modules, etc
>Tried the DISM tool
If someone guides how to generate an error report/log, I can attach it here
I have tried HP support and they were unable to help. I have already reset my system 3 times and I am not willing to do it again.
