PS3 Owners from Delhi/NCR << Need your help >>

Hey Guys,

How many of you guys are PS3 owners from Delhi / NCR ?

Guys.. i need a bit of help.

Basically what it states there is that i bought a new DS3 controller yesterday and it isnt working. Now the guy refuses to replace it and says that there is no warranty on accessories :(

Now.. the bill from Pallika is not valid for Sony showrooms etc.

Can someone who has a bill for an extra controller help me get mine replaced from the showroom ? Please ! I'll give you a nice treat ! :D

Just called up Sony customer care and I'm shocked to hear that there is no warranty on the accessories. They say that we don't "market" accessories which is extremely weird. Why don't you try taking it to the service centre along with the documentation and give it a shot. Why is the person from the shop not replacing the controller?

Meh what noobs! :|

The controller has a year's warranty IINM. I think the controller was sold as a grey market piece at Palika, which is why he may not be honoring the warranty now.
 
Umm... i got it from Pallika coz Sony World didnt have one and this piece turned out to be DOA. Any possible help guys ? Maybe someone could help me get a replacement. I called up Sony and they said that we dont market extra controllers so i think i am screwed at that end. Plus, i dont have a valid bill so i doubt if that would stand at a Sony Service Center.

Tell me about it. This makes me think twice before buying a Sony accessory now. I also spoke to them regarding my Digi Cam's flash not working and all they keep yapping is just taking it to the service centre. When I ask if post diagnosis, it's faulty, how will the replacement procedure work and they are clueless about it. They constantly keep talking about engineer checking it & trying to dodge the conversation. Now I only hope the service centre does something about it.

@Drhuv: You have the bill from Pallika right? Why not take that directly to the service centre and tell them that it's not working. Worth a shot IMO. It's impossible that these people don't sell/market PS3 controllers, I have personally seen the controller being sold at Croma showroom along with the Blu-Ray remote and AV cables. I'm pretty sure these are not grey imports. Also if are registered on IVG, try contacting HunderedProofSam. He has contacts with Sony people, so perhaps he might be able to help you out.
 
Ethan .. i am not a member at IVG , could you help me out with that. Please ! I'll try to follow up on the service center lead. But tbh .. this is pathetic, first of all you dont stock stuff n when forced to resort to underground markets, you dont get support :(

I have PM'd him and he says that he has asked Sony to clarify about the accessory warranty policy. I'll keep you posted as soon as I get something on it.

EDIT: Got his reply and it seems that Sony does not have any accessory warranty. So that's a huge disappointment.
 
Dhruv, did you check the supplied documentation? I'm sure it must say something w.r.t the warranty for the accessories.

I'll put up a pic of it when i reach home. The backing of the controller states one year warranty. I have no clue why they are not honoring it in India.

I had asked the same question to the CC fellas as well and they said that they still wouldn't provide accessory warranty. It was as if I was listening to a bloody IVR recording being played over and over. Did you try to reason out with the shop owner who sold this to you?
 
Seriously .. the customer service guys were PATHETIC !

I've been trying to call up the guy since morning but he is not picking up the phone :/

Guess i'll have to drive down tomorrow...

Gosh this really makes me scared. My PS3 was gifted to me by my brother who lives in Japan. If something goes wrong with it , these assholes would never fix it :S

they will only fix it if you pay money as the warranty os of SCEJ not SCEE

they shouldn't be doing it otherwise
