what to buy....
i read that corsair vx series will be phased out sometime soon and will be replaced by GS.... so keep that in mind guys.

The VX series still rocks so look at the VX 550W cause your budget permits as well look out for FSP BlueStorm II 500W ~ 3.5K ( FSP is a major OEM brand ), look towards the Cooler MAster Real Power PRo/ Silent Pro their wattage price is sam as the Corsair VX series and they are 80+ Bronze certification :)

Go for 550vx anyday over the Cm stuff>will cost u arnd 4.8k+5 yrs warranty+excellent RMA.It can handle even a GTX 470(215 W TDP)with ease.the tdp of 5750 is 86 w and that of 4850 is 108W which is like cakewalk for the vx 550.Going by the general perception of CM PSUs beter go for vx550 when u hav a budget of 5K

vx450 will do fine IF even with a powerful GPU.

if you feel the need for more 550 s good dont go beyond that !

and why are you worried about it getting phased out? you will still get support and warranty !

Oye who told you Cooler Master is crap the Real Power Pro series has a 80+ Plus Bronze rating not provided by VX*** series Corsair PSU's ( 80+ Standard ) go check the links I've given before shooting of Cooler Master is crap,

Cooler Master Real Power Pro 550 5 yrs warranty ~ 4.5K in CTC Hyderabad sure the Cooler MAster eXtreme series is Shit compared to all these PSU's but they are decent PSU's with no efficiency rating that's all, hence not recommended for Enthusiast or Gaming grade PC's and for matter of fact I've a Cooler Master Real Power Pro 460 which is serving me fine with a HD 5850

Welcome to Corsair :: VX Power Supply Product Information

Real Power Pro 460W - Cooler Master

links are for VX 450 and Real Power Pro 460, sorry if I sounded rude but it is just that Cooler Master psu's are not bad just that Corsair has a good reputation and nice RMA why it is highly rated here in TE, IMO the Corsair VX 550 is a great performer too CHEERIO and Peace :)
