Guys a strange thing cropped up in my pc , as soon as i boot my pc my PSU starts vibrating and makes a ****ed up noise and when windows is completely booted off , it get backs to normal ? what can be the issue ? i know its the PSU because when i booted it off i held it to make it stay firm and the noise stopped !

how can i cure this one really annoying problem ?

thanks for looking . :)

The PSU is vibrating under load or when it is cold

When a computer is booting it may be drawing a lot of power

It is better to replace your psu especially if you are using a generic psu

No idea how much power it draws to boot windows xp the cold reason is something i would consider because i'm in northern india , mine is a simple download rig , amd 64 X2 2.1ghz / 3gb ram / Nvidia 8400 gs 256mb/ 60gb hdd / 450watts PSU (Intex)

can it be because of a loose screw or something ? and if a replacement is called for which one shall look forward to ?

It cannot be a loose screw as the sound stops after the computer has booted.

In the PSU section of the forum, there are recommendations for all budgets

Just go through the postings & take a decision
