Market Feedback Question about making custom rules for FS/giveaway threads?

Hello mods,

Is it okay if I make custom rules like the following for FS/giveaway threads?
  • Member should be at-least more than a year old & should have at-least 100 post count.
  • Sale/giveaway is not first come first serve and its up-to me to decide to whom I should sell/giveaway the product.
I'm just tired of scammers, resellers & people who just lurk the Marketplace section and not contribute anything to the forum.

Please let me know if its okay. Thank you.

As long as you are forthcoming and put it in black and white in your sale thread, I don't think there is any issue. Ensure that you are sticking to the existing market section rules also. That means no auctioning, providing proper pictures and invoice details as necessary, etc. It is your product, and you get to decide who to sell it to.
Giveaways are entirely your choice. You decide the terms and conditions, and honor them.

Already people are asking for lesser number of posts to make eligible for selling. Scammers and resellers will be in all the forums. It is upto us to see through it and make a decision. If a deal is too good to be true, then it is not. And dont think people coming only to market place are bad. They are also contributiong to offloading your stuff
