:) :) Most reviews that I have read tell that the dell ultrasharp series is a very good monitor even for gaming...
but I have a doubt:P ?
the dell 2007wfp 2007fp both 20 inch and the 2407 wfp 24 inch all have response times of 16ms. Won't that cause probs while gaming?

If you see the panel specifications of Dell, the Grey to Grey response time is 8ms. The black to white response will be far higher for all the panels. While Dell/Apple quotes the average case response time, Viewsonic, samsung and others quote the best response time (which is the g2g). So The Dell response times are as good as Viewsonic 2025wm etc. The 2407 has a g2g of 6ms.

I was a bit skeptical at first about the performance of an LCD for games and after seeing my new Dell 2007WFP in action all my doubts were removed.

Of course not. You have all kinds of ghosts, ghouls, and other creepy crawlies in quake4 and serious sam.

LOL....

Wish I cld rep Zhops for the post above...but I get that damned "spread some reputation...yadda yadda yadda" :bangin:

:) So lord I can play games like quake 4 or serious sam2 without ghosting?

So far, I have tried Q3, Prey, Rise of Legends, Titan Quest, NFS UG, Call of Jurarez and did not find problems like ghosting or lagging in any of them. I also tried gaming mode in the monitor and the picture was far better probably due to the postprocessing and there were no banding. No backlight bleeding issues either. I also tried some video playback. Its far better than the HP LCD's at my office and same as Apple Cinema Displays.
