i had previously build two gaming pc's first with q9550 with e0 stepping and other with phenom ii x6 1090t. intel had abit ip35e mobo & 2x1gb ocz extreme + 2x2gb gskill pie DDR2 ram. when it died i build phenom ii x6 1090t black edition and Asus m4a88td-m evo mobo & corsair vengeance 4x4gb ddr3 ram. now both my motherboard are dead. right now i am using a low-key i3 4160t+ gigabyte h81m-s mobo +4x4 adata xmp ram .

i am wondering should i revive these two specially 1090t as its 6 core black edition & i can use both vengeance & adata ram to make it 16gb setup.

i have a 1050ti gfx so can play most AAA games at moderate setting but the processor it turning out to be bottleneck.

Please suggest.

note: i can slap a low-key zebronics mobo for c2q and make it workable.

Sell everything except power supply, cabinet, Hard disks. Get a core i3 10100f and a H410 motherboard, 8 GB DDR4 memory. Even this will perform way better compared to Phenom II.

Edit:
The Galax H410 motherboard can be had on PrimeABGB for just 5075 Rs.
Core i3 10100F - 8200 Rs
Silicon Power 8GB 2666 Mhz - 2300 Rs.

Buy Online GALAX H410M MOTHERBOARD (INTEL SOCKET 1200/10TH GENERATION CORE SERIES CPU/MAX 32GB DDR4 2666MHZ MEMORY) - in India (primeabgb.com)
Buy Online Silicon Power 8GB (8GBX1) DDR4 2666MHz Desktop Memory SP008GBLFU266B02 - in India (primeabgb.com)

The C2Q and the Phenom II, although pretty powerful CPUs during their time, are now too old to be efficient with today's modern workload. It's best to invest in a new system if possible. Alternatively, a more cost effective solution will be to get a pre-owned 4th generation core i7 or i5 and replace your current i3.

Gosh that G0 E0 IP35-E days WOAH haha. Best is to part ways bro. Even if you somehow manage to use old components you might face issues soon as the other parts are also very old and may die anytime. I am almost on the same boat : i5 4440 & DDR3.

i was also on the same boat ,was on x58 with xeon until the board gave away thought of getting replacement board ,pondered of getting x79 with xeon but that was risky as well, settled with x470 and 1 gen ryzen best decision ,true successor after x58 /socket 1336 would be AM4 socket 1331
