Can we have a quick summary post right below the OP that summarizes the entire thread? Everyone should be able to edit this post.
The benefit to members is that a single post will summarize the entire thread (provided it is updated regularly) even if the OP isn't updated.

) though i doubt it serves any purpose on a tech site. On a deal site, you can usually edit the deals and give more links for multi paged discussion.(Say coupon codes)
