hi ths agnel i m new to the forum n feeling very happy for it
i have very serious prob with with my ram.its like this:

my sys config is :
mobo : kobian
model :pI845GLM
proc: intel 2 ghz,stepping 7
from various software programs i found that i am using ram : ddr pc2100, 128 mb
i recently bought dvd writer which suggests 256 mb ram. unfortunately i didn't found pc2100 model. so i enquired about in various websites and computer administrtors and bought pc 2700 model,256 mb .hynix, life time warranty. it is working o.k. but at some times its just crashing especially when i am trying to play games and movies. please suggest a remedy for it . i have reloaded o.s. also so thet it will work but nothing improved . please suggest a remedy fast........................................................ thnx in advance

^ Run the new stick individually and test it with a tool like Memtest (Memtest86 - Memory Diagnostic Page) to rule out any possibility that the new stick is bad. (Test the old stick as well, just to make sure thats not bad either!)

If that turns out fine, then make sure you "force" both sticks to run at 266Mhz DDR within your BIOS settings.
