PC Peripherals Recommend a Good & Cheap External TV Tuner

Since I'm not sure of PC gutting capabilities have decided to go for an external TV tuner. Should be capable of connecting TATASky to PC. Not sure whether PVR functions are supported by card or not. If so, would be a plus.

Yeah,plz do suggest some currently available external tv tuners for a 22" lcd monitor..price range? Are remotes included?

Should be reliable & do the job well...

Moreover I'm not very keen on recording live tv,just viewing it!

Frankly,not sure if i should get an external tv-box or an internal pci-e tuner card?

Really appreciate the help..

P.S: I did search on google but i wanted actual user experiences & suggestions...
 
sometime back i was looking for an external tuner and came up with a list..however i didn't hv to get one coz my internal tuner started working again..

here is the list of external tuners worth considering (all have component input - for ppl using set-top boxes)

1) pixelview play tv 415 usb - 2200/-

2) pinnacle pctv 50e- maybe arnd 2.5k

3) hauppauge wintv usb2 - not sure if available in india

4) hauppauge wintv hvr 950q(video adapter included-other models like 900 etc. may not be having video adpters to accept RCA input from set-top box) - not sure if available in india - may be very expensive

5) Compro Video-mate action - rs. 4.5k - available online(sify)

6) Pinacle ultimate stick USB or something like that - no idea abt this

7) compro videomate u series(2800F,890F,890,900,300,U3) etc. - no idea abt availability in india and price

8) AVerTV Volar AX - rs. 4k(approx)
