Recommend Combo phone (Landline)

So we need to buy a decent Combo landline phone, the base should have speakerphone+caller ID whereas the wireless phone should have caller ID as well.

Dad wants a Sony, but open to suggestions. No fixed budget
 
Same experience with Panasonic :( However a Sony handset we have has lasted for over 15 years! Sadly it broke down recently.

Hence the interest in getting a Sony set :)
 
Well sony doesn't make or sell cordless /corded phones anymore.

You can try Uniden phones i would rate them better then panasonic cordless phones(which have rather poor range,i am talking about phones that even cost more then $160),you may find them in grey market or sp road.

I have used phones from panasonic,Vtech and uniden and interms of battery life and range the panasonic sucks.
 
My experience, been using Panasonic from 10-15 years. Did not have a issue with them. Just that they died after 4-5 years. Pretty reasonable I guess.
 
I need to buy a cordless phone uurgently, in 2-3 days.

Most important is the long term reliability
So no panasonic, personnel experience, after an year of normal use, the keys became very hard to press
and LCD went blank. Also, most of the time the other person used to say "please speak louder"

Price not more than 2.5k/- (actually I don't know the current market prices)
Also I've wifi router : Netgear WGR614

Caller ID
Should amplify my voice to other person.

Font/number size should be easy to read
3.5mm or 2.5mm earphone socket
