Recommendations for watches for thin wrists

Hey to the watch aficionados here,

I'm looking to get a watch- I have not owned any before (other than a simple watch for the gym). I'm not very knowledgeable about this scene. Went to a couple malls and tried some on and really like the G-Shock line up, particularly this design. But I have very thin wrists and I feel the Gshocks look a bit bulky. This one was more compact, but I prefer analogue watches.

My budget is 15k. Don't know if that's less, but I don't want to spend too much on my first watch.

Can't go wrong with the Casioak you liked. Also the Gshock G5600ue-1dr tough solar (costs abt 5300 on Amazon. Currently out of stock) is similar size as the black gshock u chose.

I have both these and they look great on thin wrists.

Thanks for the suggestion- I like the design and spotted this as a recommendation on that page. Casio DW5600BB. Looks great.

Though I'm still pining for analogue, this design makes me want to reconsider. Doesn't look as premium as the analogues though.

If you like the analog then the casioak is an excellent choice. It's a global hit.

Keep a lookout on flipkart for the military green solar casioak. It was selling for just arnd 8700/- a couple of days ago with fk coins. It's showing a higher price now tho.

This is my favourite gshock. Looks so good. I wear it almost everyday. It’s way less bulky and perfect for thin wrists.
What is the difference between this and the watch I linked to? Even the model number is the same but the price is almost close to half! I would definitely go for this if its simply just a different listing, its similar to what @The Pain suggested.

EDIT: My bad, the part number isn't the same- one is G1242 and the other is G987. But still not sure what the difference is.

The difference is the model you linked to and the green one I shared have bluetooth and are solar + battery powered

Technically it should not require a battery change at all for at least 10+ years. The bluetooth features are to sync time and find phone etc. No fitness features

The cheaper model has no bluetooth and runs off a standard battery with a life of approx 3 years.

The solar version is a better buy. Get it and forget abt maintenance kinda deal.

A decent recommend I would think given the requirement. I watched a review and it's half as chunky as my gd-350

The BT for time sync working around the lack of atomic radio sync is a good addition as is the solar charge. As for liking the UI that will be another matter. It took me a long while to zero in on the gd-350 based on the features. This really is the hardest part with picking gshocks I find. My gd-350 is perfect for my needs. Wish it had the bt sync thing but no biggie. The time keeping is very good.

One bit of trivia I learnt from this watch. The Indian subcontinent has more time zones than the continental US

Negative display was a new thing to get used to. Perfectly legible under direct sun.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I ended up going for the 5600BB for now (and I got a sweet discount on it), since its the only one imho that looks alright on my slender wrists. All the others are sticking out a bit on the strap connection sides. Got to try some of them at a mall.

Will look into getting another analogue Casio in the coming couple months- will keep these suggestions in mind. The S108D looks really nice, might consider that as my first analogue.

I had purchased the purple tinted GBD-200 and had to return it. The MIP display is great but apart from that, there is not much to like about this.

The most flawed aspect is that the menu response is too slow. Seems Casio tried to include the Bluetooth functionality on very low end hardware and it is a mess. The app design is years behind with no notification filtering.

I found the unchangeable MM/DD format to be irritating and not sure why they couldn't add it is an option. The MIP display refresh rate is too slow and they couldn't include milliseconds on account of that. Earlier editions didn't have a timer and now it does, but you have to use workout timers for that. The caller ID worked intermittently. The step count is simply a joke as it overcounts by a lot, a simply poor algorithm in use.

On the whole, I would recommend not getting a Bluetooth G-Shock. There are other square options available.

The series below is decent for BT

There are many colour options here. This one has an app and the watch can be configured to check the phone to synchronise. They can also be recharged by solar

^somewhat more contrast with the dial and positive display.

^BT with a metal bezel

Non BT

Looks like its worth much more than it is with killer looks. Downside is legibility of the display with less contrast of the dial and negative display is hard to read and quite small as well.

^Has a positive display. Also day of the week visible on the left dial with non BT variants

Better visibility of the dial with more contrast

I have skinny wrists myself and I've owned several G-Shocks in the past - 5600, 5450e, 9052 and the 9400, they'll look dated now unless there are newer colorways. I owned the variants with negative LCDs even though the legibility is sh*t because I used to love the stealth look. The MIP displays look great in comparison to the regular ones but like @t3chg33k suggested stay away from the BT ones, they're kinda crap unless you spend a ton of money.
Currently I have my eyes set on this one

It's the smallest watch in the G steel range that launched a couple of months ago, the black dial one with the resin strap costs 22k, I'm personally waiting for a small price drop before I bite the bullet this festive season. It works well as a daily beater as well as a dress watch imo.
The one recommended by @roadrash99 is excellent vfm and I've seen it go for sub 10k several times and it comes with different dial colors as well.
You can't go wrong with the Casioak tbh, pick a colorway that suits your style.
P.S I would also suggest getting a beater watch like the MRW-200 analog that goes for sub 1k at times and comes in diff colors, I own the golden one and it perfectly fits my skinny wrist, will post a pic when I get home.

Depends on the digit size. The ones on my Gd-350 are pretty big. The ones on these casiok ones are much smaller where even in direct sunlight they can be illegible.

^Black dial with full metal strap casiok for the same price. There are other colours available too. No BT or solar though which your B600 has.

^That's the one I have my eye on.

^What gives me pause is you can get the same functionality for 8k less.

To get the wow factor costs more. Thing is once you get hooked by these metal bezels the perfectly acceptable until now resin bezels look not so great :grumpy:

As far as wear & tear goes, resin hides it better than a metal bezel. So there's that.

As far as discounts during sales go expect 10% off if previous price drops are any indicator.

I'm not really a fan of the steel 2100s, I've checked out the ones with the cloth straps in khaki and green in store and didn't really like it.

I actually track prices quite often, I'm well aware of what to expect.

I've come to appreciate the vibrate function on my gd-350 because i miss it less than the audio alarm. Which makes me want to have that feature in other watches and there aren't many options here.

One of the features that attracted me to the GBD-200 was the vibrate alarm in addition to the MIP display but that option is shelved now

How loud are casios alarms? The more water resistant the softer they are.
