Off late, a few members have been found using their signatures to put up a list of items that they have on sale. Some were also found to not even have a corresponding thread in the market section. The market section rules are meant to serve some purpose, and it doesn't help if they are being avoided intentionally.

So please note: Signatures carrying any ad for stuff on sale, either with or without a link to a thread in the market section, will NOT be allowed.

Signatures violating these terms will be deleted on sight, and the member will be given infractions instantly.

I would appreciate if the staff could elaborate more on this as to why this new announcement was made and what really is the negative effect if someone puts up a link to his FS thread in his signature. :)

I personally thought that the sale thread in the signature should be fine if a thread in the Mkt place exists with all the prerequisites attended to.

LOL even I am clueless since this isn't exactly advertising when you are providing a link to your sale threads in TE's market section. :P

Yo Prasad sir, please enlighten us. :)

:P Rule to self: Do not make posts in the dead of night when you are half asleep.

Obviously, it was an oversight.. It is supposed to be only for ads without FS threads in the market section. Making corrections now. :)

I don't see any issue if a thread actually exists in the market section. More clarification definitely required.
