Forum Feedback remove time limit edit post restriction

Hi , Admins and mods , please realize the inconvenience caused to us ,the members of the forum ,for the time limit edit post restriction . Please do something about it ; also we cant be running behind mods's backs just to get a post edited ( obviously after the time limit or a post is made after that specific post ) . It would be awesome if the management implement the removal of the time limit for editing a post ; it would be a very wise decision for , the members of this forum will be relieved :D :)

P.S : I sent a message using 'email/message mods feature' ( I forgot the name but it was suggested by the system after I tried to edit a post ) I sent it and no changes were made ( whenever I had asked for ) so I assume this feature is useless or buggy . I really got irritated :S
 
ya i vote for it too!
but if some ppl are irresponsible and misuse the feature then they should be warned/banned. restricting other users is causing lot of inconvenience, esp in the buy/sell section.
i havent seen this restriction either in any of the other 4 forums im a member of.

I too vote for it but the mods have imposed this time limit for a reason.

And in any case, you can always PM a mod of the respective section to change your first post.

I know it is a bit of a hassle, but you cant help iut :bleh:
 
Guys Nikhil & I had requested the Admins earlier abt removing this time delay of 30secs
before posting next topic , but Admins have implemented this for a specific reason.

I dont feel that this restriction will be removed.
 
yep, as Quad said, its there for a reason and the reason have been mentioned many times in this forum. Its not possible for us to remove the restriction. If we decide otherwise in future, we'll let you know.

As of now, you can edit your post within 10 minutes frm posting. Thats enough time to correct any typos or add any new information.
 
i also vote for it ..... only this place i have seen that limit ... almost all the fforums i use have edit feature ...

How about you modify the EDIT option r add another button to directly mail a mod the altered doc after 10 mts? Small change, but will make a lotta difference, imho.
 
^^ u can modify ur post till 2 hrs after u post. later, ask a mod...
 
btw why do you need to modify your post later anyway?

you have more to say , make a new post.
 
^^ True, it is inconvienient but it makes a big difference. Stops people from posting crap and editing it. Maybe the time limit could be increased a bit...
