OC & Modding Requesting help in assembling an adjustable fan

hello members,

im trying to put together different parts to make an adjustable fan for vrm, southbridge,northbridge cooling and i think i found a starting point.

the adjustable string like part on the led table light in images below looks pretty useful to me but this particular part is too short. i hypothetically devised a way to attach a fan to one end of it.

i need to know what it is actually called or how i can find part like this. so im requesting some one to guide me in right direction.

yes except im planning to put a 40mm/50mm fan which i think can be put more close to vrm .. i tried asking local hardware shops at my place about the metal conduit but no one has it. im from hyderabad btw.
 
there are lots of gooseneck manufacturers in india but it's quite difficult to get hold of them as they mostly export. if you don't have a wholesale hardware market in your area then your next best option is to order from chinese sites. or you can buy a cheap gooseneck LED/USB Fan/mobile holder from amazon/ebay india for parts.

these are exactly what i need.. how reliable are these sellers ? anyone ordered before from them?
 
Alibaba is primarily meant for businesses/wholesale/bulk orders. Though you may get a sample free of cost but they'll bug you a lot for more sales later on.

Get it from Aliexpress which is meant for retail/consumers. Yes, a lot of people order from such Chinese sites and majority of them have had nice experience. There's a dedicated thread on TE on Aliexpress... you can go thru it to see what kind of issues people face. Mostly electronic or high value items face scrutiny. Your gooseneck pipe should arrive without any issues.
 
i acquired goosenecks. now im looking for 40/50/60mm fans. can someone give me a link to buy good quality 40/50/60mm fans at normal prices?. i searched on google but all i was able to find was cheap looking fans. good ones are overpriced on online websites in india.
