Monitors Requirement of an 17" LCD for gaming

Hi friends,

I am looking for a 15" or a 17" LCD monitor for gaming. I am using G31, E5200 with 9800 GT.

My budget for the same is Rs.8000/- Pls suggest me a good monitor with model no. & price for gaming and VFM.

I had find out the following monitors from the earlier posts, pls tell their current price and which one is better in terms of resolution and good for gaming among these:

Samsung S2033SW

Samsung 940BW

Dell 18.5" - E1910 IN

Dell 1909W - 19-inch

Viewsonic VA1912W

^^with that kind of moolah, you can easily buy a 22" LCD/TFT monitor! Though I feel your card will be a bottleneck to play any game with eye candy turned on!
 
Dell E1909W has the best image quality under 8k. Totally recommended for 9800GT.

Costs around 6.7k i guess. Very high VFM.
 
I have a question here. The DELL IN1910N / S1909W i.e. the 18.5" models have 1366x768 resolution. I've seen 15.6" laptop screens at that resolution and seemed perfect. But the same at a 18.5", won't the icons etc look bigger/awkward ?

Similarly, the 17" model has 1440x900. How things will look in it ? smaller ?

You have the money to buy a decent 22' but with that kinda Graphics card isn't going to be a good gaming experience.Of course you could lower resolution and play but try to stay within 1440x900 - 1600x800 resolution native.
