Market Feedback Rma Issues With Abit IX 38 GT3 MOBO ? Need Help..

i have bought Abit ix 38gt3 mobo from shripad

Then I sold it to Mr.Kenden ..he gave directly shripad to replace ..but when i get back form Rma IT's Dead ..
i have called here local Tirupati and also a lot call to shripad ..
but shripad is not repsonce anymore so guyz plz help ...
i have to pay mr. kenden or give mobo back ..i m taking this issue because shripad is giving responce from last 1 months ..
i want to make this thread a long before but i have faith in shripad but no no more ..:(

So guyz plz help me ...:(
 
Little confused here....why did Mr Kenden send it to Shripad instead of Tirupati (or even you) in the first place?

Isn't warranty honored by the distributor?
 
i have sold it mr.kenden and when i called shripad he asked me to give mobo for repalce so i told mr kenden to give directly shripad for rma and when it come me to it's dead so i call back to shripad for replacement then no reply and i aslo tried here in ahmedavad tirupari centre they have said"mobo is not under warrenty" so i m confused what to DO ?
 
Shripad said warranty is for one year as per that thread(15 july) and as of now it is expired.so how can there be a rma?
 
According to that thread, the warranty should have been over by July.

When did Mr Kenden send it to Shripad? I mean when was the RMA request raised with Tirupati?

Why was the replacement sent to you instead of Mr Kenden? When did you complain that the replacement is dead? The dates are important as you are very close to the expiry of warranty.

If you got a replacement then Tirupati must have accepted the warranty terms and they should look into this.

i have informed him before 15 the july and what if u get dead product form rma i have requested him to check board if possible..?

and i also checked it with all q9550 q6600 e2160 e8400 procy as well my hd 5850 5750 8600gt and 8800gt as well but no booting ..

and i don't no the exact date of all above producer and it's all happen before 15th july is 100% r8 ..

That is original market thread. As you can see its from May 2008. And that time board was slightly less than 1month old. SO technically warranty is over.

Try requesting tirupati that they took long time to replace this and give you and additional warranty for lost time and see what they say.

I will drop a request with tirupati Mumbai as well and let you know what happens.

This is why I told you last time as well that I think board is now out of warranty. They replaced / repaired it twice when it was in warranty.

Let me see what I can do. I will get back to you tonight.

Yeah, go ahead as I havent received any information from local office of Tirupati. I have called them 3-4 times about this after I got your message but without any luck.

See if you have more luck at Ahmd office.

If they dont reply to you, just drop me a message and I will see I can talk to someone higher up at Tirupati.

Waiting for Shripad's input. A lot of things will be cleared then.

My understanding till now.

If anyone is at fault here it is Tirupati. Shripad is trying to help and not getting any response from Tirupati.

According to Tirupati the board is out of warranty and it surely is.

The only plus point here is that they had it with them for some time during the RMA process and you should try using that to get a response. Shripad has mentioned this too.

TS has clearly mentioned in the first post itself that he waited for a month before starting this thread. Clearly the RMA process must have started sometime before that.
 
Actually this board has been RMAed 3 times??? (Pardon me if I have this count wrong, its a very old board :ashamed:. )

When original DDR2 board was RMAed, there was no DDR2 replacement. Hence this board was offered as RMA. It was sold to Gannu originally. I just got it RMAed and put it back on TE on his request.. I have sent original link of all sales to all parties, its still open in market.

The agreement was reached between Jaydip and the original buyer of the board (Gannu).

That board died after some time and when I was asked if the board can be sent back to me so I can get it RMAed through Mumbai office, I agreed to help ( I dont know why he didnt RMA it locally, but as it was originally my board, I agreed).

The RMAed board was sent back to him.

The board died again after few months and Jaydip asked me to RMA it from Mumbai again to which I said OK I will do it as it was not a problem for me.

The board was sent back to me, and was again RMAed. He asked me to test the board before shipping, but as by this time I did not have any LGA775 CPU with me, I obviously told him I cant this time like I did last time as I dont have the CPU to test anymore.

When this board was shipped back to him. After few days, I got a call from him saying now the same PCI express port is not workin (no display IIRC). I said I will talk to the distributors and see what can be done to which I got no reply from Mumbai office. So I told him to pursue it at location near to him and I also informed him back then only that I think the warranty of this board is now over. (By the time board was at RMA, given back to me and shipped to him and he got it ). And as I said, there was no way for me to check the board this time like I did the first time Jaydip bought it from Gannu.

I have passed all the links of original purchase, original sale thread and have now RMAed this board 3 times. But as now warranty period is over, I am not getting any response from distributors as well. Nothing much I can do here.

I was just helping both you guys to RMA your boards. I did not sell it to Jaydip. I offered to help on request. I never took any money to do RMA, I did not even accept the money for shipping board back and forth as I do not consider money a factor here. I did it, because I wanted to help. Not be held accountable for RMA debacles of other distributors.
 
The only way out I can see is to request them to RMA it as board has died 2/3 times now. They must have the record of the RMA procedure. I had also given you the name of the dealer from whom this board was originally bought and RMAed when you asked. Ask them (Tirupati )for warranty extension. This board has easily spent 2 or 3 months at Tirupati for warranty purpose. (it was 1+ month to get this new board instead of DDR2 model to begin with IIRC ).

After that 2 repairs. I dont recall exact dates and times, but its easily 2+ months total.
 
As per what I have read...

Regarding the part where ur board not reaching in time otherwise u would have sent it back for RMA, you can raise an issue with Tirupati regarding the RMA time but they will evade it by saying that why did u not send it for RMA in ur city (which is ahemdabad)... So nothin can be done for that either...

And in no way u can blame sripad for the delay cause he went out of his way to get ur board RMAed not once but atleast twice inspte of the fact that he sold the board to someone who inturn sold it to you and yet he helped u RMA the board...

So I do not seem to understand what your problem is with the whole thing and what are u expecting the TE member to do for you please make it clear... Do realize the fact that electronic get spoilt after 3 years and sometime beyond repair then u ahve to just let it go and not bother about it...
 
i m not blaming shripad ... i just need suggestions for what i should have to do for replacing mobo ? whre am i here

see : shripad to gannu to me to kenden so ..we and shriad are same in this matter i m doing this for only my frnd mr kenden ..

after calling to mr kenden he wants back this mobo ... he wants to check himself and decide what he can do ..
 
if the mobo is out of warranty nothin can be done... unless u want to try and get it repaired and see what happens but there is a possibility that after sometime it my not work again...

Regarding RMA from Tirupati nothing can be done untill u know some really influential person in tirupatia nd who is willin to help you man... which i highly doubt anyone will help in this matter...

So my advice to u is resolve it amicably with Mr. Kenden and get the matter over with... i do not think anything can be doen in this respect...

Unless Sripad come back to ur rescue...
 
The righteous approach to this is to take ownership of the board, refund the money, send it to RMA, if RMAed then resell, if not then throw it in the bin.
Remember that it was a faulty board in the first place and you sold it knowing that. Hence you should also deal with the issues related to it rather then making Shripad the Scapegoat.

If you look at my posts, I have always refunded the money to the buyer, even if then think that they have bought the product IMPULSIVELY.

Ok guyz i have already mention that the real owner of this mobo wants back if he can repair .. so i m offically closing this matter here

WHAT I teach today : I should have to bring this issue before i get rma from shripad and from now on i will do ..
