Running shoes for 1-1.5k?

How are running shoes from Amazon? Budget is under 1-1.5k. My feet size is 10, but my toes and fingers are very broad so I usually buy 11 or even 12 size. I saw lot of Reebok, Puma and other branded shoes in Amazon, are they original or duplicates?

Local stores don't have my sizes in my budget. Only luck I had was with Sketchers and Adidas, so not cheap lol.

Try ajio or adidas.co.in
Had good experience from both (DO NOT BUY FROM MYNTRA)

Just checked their clearance section, they have models starting at 1.4k. In particular I liked the Orbitra model as it seems to have a wider front design. Any discount coupons or tricks you would like to mention?

If using adidas site, they will display the offers on almost each page. For ajio, same. Try cred games to see if you can get something like 550 OFF on 1500 coupon for Ajio.

Why not to buy from Myntra? I'm just curious. I've been buying on myntra for the last 10 years and it's one of the most genuine websites to buy from. In fact I've always had a bad experience with Ajio but never on Myntra.

shoes are tricky, esp if you have wider feet. I too am in the same boat. Always check out a few models in the shop and then buy online.

Bit the bullet and bought a colorway which wasn't available in Amazon "Dark blue and green" with yellow accents and yellow sole, imo looks sick. Spent 2k for the only piece available lol.
Adidas has free returns, and I don't mind getting branded Vietnamese shoes lol.

Had two incidents (exact same ones) in the family.
Saw advert for ₹400 off on first purchase, ordered Adidas shoes. On day of delivery, it showed out for delivery and then got refunded, stating 'package lost in transit'.
I asked to CC, they said they can't give the ₹400 coupon again. Insisted for a month with escalations, nothing doing.
Same thing happened to my sister. Her shoes also got cancelled automatically stating 'package lost in transit'. Different cities. Different couriers. Same story.
Decided not to buy anything from them ever.

I'd like to share some of my experiences over the last decade and possibly over 2000 orders. About 5-6 years ago I bought adidas cleats for 3k, used it for over 3 months and would always trip while running because the size wasn't right. I couldn't risk an injury so I sent an email to myntra, they denied for a couple of times and finally approved return and refund 3.5 months after purchase and for moderately used shoes.

About 2 years ago I bought a rare rabbit leather jacket for 13k. The leather wasn't of good quality. After few days I tried to stretch the jacket to see how durable it is and it tore completely. This was returned for a refund as well.

Also, I work at Flipkart and I get employee discount on few products at Myntra. But even without the discount myntra is my first choice to buy apparels.

The narrative is surprising. Myntra was my regular site for years until I had to make a return for damaged item. The item was torn on receipt. I had launched the return within couple of minutes of receipt.

It was a nightmare. They refused return citing that they have "internal quality check" so that they that will not deliver any bad product. They didn't even acknowledge their own return policy.

The torn side was deliberately hidden with additional folds inside the pack so that it was not visible without opening the pack. I opened the pack only because the folds seemed suspicious.

Had to make a lot of phone calls (all useless). They didn't even have a mail ID to contact them at their site. Had to go after them in social media during diwali season before the return was accepted. It took months of effort.

I found them to be shaddy at every step. Their intent is suspect at best.

I am not sure how you are getting it done for items you tore. Is it because you are an employee.

I only started working here about 6 months back. All these events occured years ago. I believe they treat their customers differently based on purchase history. A friend of mine has also been using myntra for about a decade and has never faced a problem once.

Check out decathalon store if you have one nearby or check their online store. They have good quality sports gear.

I wouldn't judge a platform by how they treat their loyal customers. They make money off them.
But if things go wrong and they want to keep their profits rather than doing the right thing, I would stay off.

Yes but for me their Adidas/Nike/Puma shoe collection is generally limited and prices are higher than most online stores. They do want you to take their own brand gear a lot though. OP I think you can check prices/stock on decathlon online as well, and then visit to check the fit etc and complete the purchase.

I hate amazon interface when it is compared to myntra but still avoid myntra. My account was only 5 years old with myntra when i stopped using them.

The point being that these guys have turned a corner where it is risky for most people to buy from them. A decade is really a big risk for anyone to take to get straight forward customer service. And it is just not about money. They are totally not worth the hassle.

I don't think decathlon keeps adidas etc brands. I'd personally prefer decathlon over these brands. It's not like adidas and others are bad but their product distribution is vague in India. It feels like they are not a specialist in the business. They have a generic description for all of their shoes. But when I go to Decathlon, I see 5 different types of running shoes. There are some which are mesh, some don't get wet, some have wet grip, some only go for race tracks etc. They know what they sell and are very clear about it. That's why they are specialist.

I'm very happy with their longevity. It's easily on par with adidas. I bought pair of socks and compression pants (made in france) when decathlon was newly launched in India about 5-7 years ago. I abuse them daily in the gym and still they are fine to this day. All the stuff I ever bought from there is still working great. Just don't buy made in india stuff as it's junk. Every foreign business has to sale some indian junk under FDI.

I have wide toes as well. Size 9.5, I wear 10 (Adidas) and 10/10.5 (Nike). Most shoes fit well for office/regular use. I don't run much with these, have different ones for badminton.

For what it's worth, my brother has ordered a lot of stuff from Myntra. He recently bought 2 Puma shoes (one for walking and one slip-on) 2 sandals (One puma which I'm using, and other one he's using) 2 flip flips (he used both).

He's happy with the shoes but flip flops got compressed quickly (Understandable as we both are 100+ kg), but surprisingly the sandals have held up decently. The shoes I've bought are replacements for the sandals lol.
