Guys apart from this is there any real difference.

I think the basic difference b/w the two is 793DF is from dynaflat range, so it would be perfectly flat, like the LG flatron .
793MB would be like regular monitors, a little curved, not perfectly flat.

MG2 isnt much improvement over MG
wud say , if ur in a budget nd the diff between the 2 is huge enuff.....go for the MB....u wont b missing much......:)
but if there r ny other technical advantages in the DF........thn check it out 1st

i got the samsung 793mb yesterday itself... ya its perfectly flat and a great upgrade for me from 13' to 17'!! havent yet used to magic bright button yet though..

Get the MB if you need to use the MagicBright feature ( offers preset modes for games/internet/movie and stuff ). Personally I've never bothered to use them so far. Both of them offer similar max resolution & frequency setup so there should'nt be any other technical differences between them.

Sorry, confused the 793s with 793MB, i bought that monitor for a friend some time ago. 793MB is new model i guess, which is improvement of the 793DF with MB button.

MB is useful if your lazy and dont want to manually adjust brightness etc. for movie watching/gaming etc. if required. :P

Is the price difference much.
Becoz i used to use the Preset Modes on my HP M50 Monitor as now the button has stopped funtioning i barely require it.
So if thats the only difference i dont feel i might need the MB Button rest both the
Monitors are same it seems.
