Samsung Mobile Warranty only for first Buyer

Hi Folks
Need some clarification here, as per Samsung India's Website the warranty for their mobile phones is valid only for the first owner and is not transferable. Is this normal in the mobile world or is it something specific to Samsung. Also does it mean that if i buy a phone from another member who still has a valid warranty, i will be out of warranty ??

i dooubt it matters as the bill generally does NOT contain the name of the original buyer, unless a credit card/online store is used. and i doubt that the policy will be enforced.

its always been there but they dont ask the users voter id in service centre

In my opinion, Dont bother about it too much.
Say if you are to gift a mobile phone to a relative.. u ll be purchasing it, either via cash or via credit/debit cards etc. Nobody is going to heckle the owner if that is the case.

Policy is stupid in the first place itself. You sold the product, honour the warranty till it's there.

If I buy a phone for my mom or sister then to claim warranty I will have to take them .... bullshit
