Monitors samsung monitor refresh rate is low...

mine Samsung monitor has the maximum refresh rate of 60Hz for 1024x768...
I dun like 800x600 look which allows me to set higher refresh rates...

Also the IBM E54 has the max refresh rate of 85hz at the same resolution...does this mean that the E.54 is technologically superior...

Anything can be done to change it....
 
Specification seem to be same for both the monitors...But than why is this...

Yes, the E.54 is superior as it supports a maximum resolution of 1280x1024 :)

Your monitor's max res. is only 1024x768 hence it runs at 60 Hz which is what it can support.
