i am getting a deal in samsung printer

I was using this printer earlier. The price is good, no doubt. However, it has a very small toner and yield is less. And the toner has some sort of chip on it which prevents it from being re-filled and you have to buy a new toner always. Don't know if there are workarounds for this though.

sorry for bein OT but that sounds just like TATA Nano booking funda. :)
 
There is another Samsung printer which is a successor of ML1610 which i am currently using whose toner is also chipped. Its much better to go in for a similarly priced HP printer as opposed to Samsung. I too am looking for a printer for my office use. If its a decent printer and priced attractively i too am in for it :)

its written for individual buyers as there is a cap. of min 5 as a requirement any1 woud hesitate to do the payment as an advance also i may get it for even 4 orders thou i wasnt sure i can execute that ....thats y... :)

afaik all the laser printers are chipped - hp included.

my office has three diff brands - wipro, hp, kyocera. all of them are chipped.

yup it really looks True .... i too have few printers 2 HP 1 sammy 1 cannon n all of em are chipped

it will be hard to find ...i guess no mattr which brand its like searching for 1640 or 1650 BENQ :P

afaik there is a workaround for this particular printer (ML-2245) thou i never tried.all abt resettin the page count.
 
ask the refilling people, they can replace the chip. i once got a toner refilled and the printer didn't accept it(error toner empty), i got the chip changed and it worked.

But a new toner costs around 1200/- Rs. if I am not wrong, hence not a real big saving every time you refill.
 
its certainly more than 1200

as the colour cartridge in my canon inkjet printer costs 1100

so the toner shud be much more than that

shud be more than 2k i guess!!
 
^^Will confirm exact price tomorrow. It was 1200/- or 1800/- mostly. I have the receipt in my office and will check it tomorrow. The toner size is pretty small and hence its cheaper than other toners.
