The Live with Walkman is a Gingerbread droid (customized with Sony Ericsson's four-corner UI), powered by a 1GHz processor. The screen is 3.2" TFT with HVGA resolution and scratch-resistant coating. The phone measures 56.5 x 106 x 14.2 mm and weighs 115g, making it slightly taller and heavier than the Xperia mini.
Anyway, the new music-loving Sony Ericsson has stereo speakers with xLOUD technology (which improves speaker performance) and the trademark Walkman music player. The 1200mAh battery is good for up to 17 hours and a half of music playback.

So here comes a powerful(sub-15k) walkman logo bearing android :D The internals are similar to the Xperia Mini. The only differences are the bigger 3.2" display, front cam like the mini Pro and the Stereo speakers :)

Hopefully SE prices this between the Xperia mini cousins :D

So its the exact same phone as the Xperia mini, with a slightly larger screen and xLoud technology? It better not be priced higher then.

Also, got to love the battery life comparison on GSM arena.

Both have a Li-Ion 1200 mAh, but..... SE Live has a stand-by Up to 600 h but the Xmini has Up to 340 h (2G)
And what about the talktime? Up to 14 h 15 min (2G) on SE Live vs Up to 4 h 30 min on Xmini.

Really? On the same battery?

So apparently this music phone would just improve on the sound in speakers... But, its sad the earphones sound won't be improved much.

Also, 1GHz Snapdragon but HVGA screen, why don't they just put at least 3.5 WVGA screen and it would be the best selling phone in under 15k

they already have a 3.3 fwvga ray and 3.7 fwvga neo in their lineup.
The w8 and x8 are identical in dimensions and hardware. But w8 sounds better according to gsmarena tests. So they might have used a better dac in this phone.
