Hi,
I want to buy a 500 GB 2.5" External Hard Disk.I am thinking of buying it thru ebay.Howz transcend?
500 GB External HDD Transcend
What is the difference between these two seagate hard disk?
1) 500GB Seagate External Portable Hard Drive 500 GB 2.5"

2)Seagate FreeAgent Go 500GB USB 2.5" Hard Disk - Black

The first Seagate is their expansion portable series which comes with 3 yrs warranty

The Freeagent Go comes with 5 yrs warranty.

Transcend ones comes with only 2 yrs warranty.

I would suggest the Seagate Expansion as its VFM taking into consideration the warranty. Just ordered it for Rs.2956 after applying 10% coupon. The Transcend will cost Rs.2900 after applying coupon.

Is it worth to spend 400 Rs additional for an additional 2 year warranty.Other than the warranty is there any difference between the two seagate harddisk ?

i myself am considering buying the freeagent go 500gb.

i dont think theres much difference. just the warranty.

Or shud I go for the Seagate 500GB FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra-Portable 2.5" USB.

Howz this GoFlex drive.Is there any disadvantage ?
