HARD DRIVE MAMMOTH Seagate claims it has introduced the first ever 160GB portable hard drives that uses the perpendicular recording method.
The firm is showing off the thing here in Las Vegas during the Consumer Electronics Show.
The 2.5-inch drive uses a PC’s USB port, and can shuttle stuff along at 480Mbps.
The notebook drive will cost $379 and will be available in February while an e-Sata 500GB hard drive it’s showing off called the pushputton won’t be released until April.
