Keeping them sealed 'cause you can clearly see the drives inside the packing.
I also don't have my USB SATA dock handy; friend has it so can't test them right now anyway.
If buyer insists, will test them before shipping.
Covered by almost 3 years of warranty.
I will pack to the best of my abilities, and I have shipped hard drives before, across India, without issues. In case you find a drive DOA, you can RMA easily. If there is shipping damage (physical damage due to which you can't initiate RMA) to the drives, I will be shipping them with insurance so you will get your full refund. You will have to record an uncut unboxing video for insurance claim like always.
Please keep negotiations in DM. If you want open pricing discussions, use this thread: https://techenclave.com/threads/market-section-product-pricing-n-discussions.193369/page-34. I am active there as well.
Bought them from Amazon, expected CMR drives but these are SMR. Have invoice as well, but not attaching here as it is not needed for warranty.
Price is ₹7000 per drive excl. shipping.

Real shame having to buy HDD's on Amazon etc.. without clearly mentioning if SMR or CMR. Kudos for mentioning the same.

Actually, the model number mentioned was ST4000VX007 (CMR), and they shipped ST4000VX013 (SMR). Talked to customer care, they talked to the seller, the item is not returnable blah blah blah. Apparently, Seagate screwed both the sellers. Got ₹250 off (difference of price at the time of talking to CC) refund in Amazon Pay, and I gave up.
The listing I purchased from: https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B01LOOJ8UI/
Even on the bill model is ST4000VX007.

damn that sucks thanks for bringing this issue to the forefront , these SMR drives are real b**ches when it comes to NAS , takes forever to re silver the damn ZFS array.

Bump. Willing to let go for ₹6750 per drive.
Would be great for your steam libraries. I currently use an inferior drive (Seagate barracuda which is also SMR) for steam and have never had any issues regarding write speeds even for installing very large games.

Interested. When you say it is useful for steam libraries from the large storage perspective or for loading speeds?

Both. Its cheap bulk storage, and you won't face the SMR bottleneck with games installation, and read speeds are as per any standard hard disk.

SMR is an issue while re-silvering in ZFS where you're replacing a dead drive with another, so almost the whole disk gets rewritten.

I received the drive on 24th nov 2022, and it didn't work; napstersquest generated an rma request for me and was very helpful throughout.
Finally got the working drive from seagate on 16th dec.
