I just bought C&C 3 Limited Edition yesterday. Great game and no online activtion required. I was looking at few other games like Left 4 Dead / DeadSpace / Red Alert 3 . . . which i wanted to buy. Now, I am living away from home and my "outside of office" net is a cyber cafe over which internet activation of L4D, RA 3 etc will be slow, if not impossible.
Please tell me any such game which will not require internet activation or has SecuROM and will run smoothly on Acer 4530's nvidia 9100m.

Seriously, i am legitimately willing to buy a game and they are friggin making life a pain.

i guess they just thought its no use wasting time and money over protection since crackers will crack it anyhow. :p

Actually that's quite a logical thing. We're in the season of cost-cutting you see :bleh:

Since you like strategy games , I would recommend Company of Heroes , it has no activation or even putting the disc in the DVD to play like problems. :eek:hyeah:

Shucks i was planning to buy Dead Space and L4D, but now knowing that they require internet activation, all my plans are gone for a toss.....:(

U can always get ahem copies of games which does not require any kind of activation. If u feel guilty of installing ahem version,u can pay me the game's price:p to reduce ur guilt.

i had promised myself that when i start working i won't buy ahem versions:)
i guess i will buy the "internet activation required" games when i am back home in delhi and on my unlimited connection. company of heroes is a good option but i already have played it. i was looking forward to GRID / L4D, both of which require activation. I will be visiting Inorbit, mumbai once more soon . .. and checking what to buy!

But having DRM/Limited installations/ internet activations is crazy . . . SPORE is the most pirated game of 2008!:bleh:

Serious Sam, :D .... see and shoot, dont leave anybody

Opposite to what you want is GTA 4, heavy online activation, I was puzzled while installing, but then its dead cheap at 450/-
