I just bought a Dellâ„¢ UltraSharpâ„¢ 2407WFP-HC 24-inch Flat Panel LCD Monitor. The problem is my monitor heats up a lot and today a white spark like thing(like a bright white tubelight projecting out of the screen)appeared on the centre of the screen while watching a slideshow.So i turned off the monitor and shut down the system.There appeared a spot on the screen at that point from where spark originated.When the screen is switched off,i can notice the spot ( a white spot).When i switch it on it is not that visible.
So now what should i do?? Should i replace the monitor or keep it ? If i do ask for a replacement will they send a brand new one ??
