The sify broad band client that i have installed in my comp uses nearly 90% of CPU.... this problem has been for past 1 week.... i searched for virus, malware, trojan tools.. both offline and online... the system is clean....

incidently when i checked my windows firewall it is not openin.. tellng that "Dueto unidentified problems, windows could not display firewall details". i think something screwed up..

any of u guys faced this problem???

i cannot install zone alarm as pccillin was installed in my sys...

any software to detect corrupt problems with windows??

edit: the process that takesup this much cpu is BBImpSec.exe.... if i end this process, it automatically starts again when i connect to BB. and if i remove this process from startup it is added automatically to startup by the client... there is no option in the client to disable it at startup...

AFAIK, BBImpSec.exe is a port blocker.

On my PC its consuming 6.7mb at this moment, but it doesn't hog any cpu resources. I also want to get rid of this unwanted piece of sw tho my D/L speed is just fine (use utorrent mostly). I've tried blocking it using Startup Guard in System Mechanic . . . . tried deleting the exe manually . . . but there's been no success. This little bugger turns up everytime.

i wasnt able to solve the problem.. so reformatted the whole sys and put zone alarm firewall... now the sys is running fine...

the problem with BBImpSec.exe is that even if u end the task, it will open again... even if u remove from startup it will be added to startup by broad band client... nothing can be done... thats why reformated.
