SifyBroadband 256kbps Dl/64 kbps Ul??

Has anyone tried the new Sify plan "256Kbps Dl/64Kbps Dl unlimited"? Is it any good?

I am gonna use the connection mostly for TORRENTS and Rapidshare downloads?

The low upload speed won't matter cos i usually keep an upload limit of 8-9 KBps on my 256 kbps connection..I am currently using the Unlimited hours during the day/night unlimited pack...so wanted to know whether it would be wise to change to the new plan....Will I get good speeds in torrents inspite of the slow upload speeds?? :(
 
I heard this plan has some problems with torrents. Its ok with http , but with torrent it seems the speed doesnt rise above 10kBps while downlading.

I havent used it so i cant guarantee you anything , lets wait for the others to reply
 
hmm 64kbps uploads mean your torrent downloads will be crippled.. unless your torrent has a large no. of seeds your not gonna get full download speeds. and if your on a registered site then forget this package cause getting your ratio to 1 would be a pain in the butt!

Ya even i thoght it would not give good dl speeds...Thats the reason I wanted to confirm b4 going for the plan....If ne1 who has used it could give a reply, it would have been helpful....Otherwise i will continue with the plan that I have now...

As Chic_magnet said it would be a bad idea to use it for registered sites..But as it is I don't keep my upload limit above 8-9 KBps...I get a feeling that my download speeds keep reducing when i increased my download speed above this limit..:P
