Linux Simple picture editor required!!!!

I have been trying to find a good simple image editing program for ubuntu but nothing has satisfied me. I just love the Office picture manager. Do you guys have any alternatives to suggest. I tried picase, but didnt like it . Hate all google products.

Hmm Gimp? Well sorry, thats the only one I can think of... cause I am used to it.

Yes, +1 for GIMP. It is almost as powerful as Photoshop, but Photoshop users might find it’s interface a bit awkward.

I've heard of "Pinta" which is a clone of Paint.NET - if you want "simple"...

Pinta , Krita for nominal editing.

Try digiKam - its nice. also it support exports directly to facebook and flickr.

Simple image editor? Try Irfanview in Wine. Runs well.
