Smart phone around 15k

Hi TE members
i am new to TE
i am planning to buy a smartphone around 15K
and i have done my home work and i some how feel defy xt is better one(wid a secondary cam and almost same battery and almost same pricing)when compared to other defys
But i have a small silly doubt
i would like to know whether the defy xt can be rooted?
whether it shall have an ics update in future?
anf finnaly when can i expect supports such as CM?​

I wont be optimistic about ICS and CM as it looks like a niche device originally for China and now extended to Asia.
Rooting should be achievable, google is your friend.

If you need front cam get the xperia U if can live with 4 GB of media and 2 GB of apps.

According to your requirements, i highly recommend the HTC Desire, which was selling for 15,990/- in Saholic the last time I saw. It has official ICS update, official CM support, CM9 builds and a good, established developer base too.
If you want more powerful hardware, you can have a look at the Xperia U, but it does not support CM at the moment, may get support later, or maybe never. Else, you will need to upgrade your budget if you want all those features
(Defy+, Defy XT etc. not recommended since ICS update unlikely).

Update: OOS in Saholic at the moment, check other sources.
